The Emerald Golf Club

• Named one of the top 50 courses in the Southeast by Golf Weekly.
• Host to the 1992 and 1993 PGA Tour Qualifying School.

• Host of the Curtis Strange Shrine Classic 1990-2000.

 

Yet for all The Emerald's distinguished honors, the course was not created to be intimidating. Its 6,924 yards has a 73.8 rating from the back tees and a 71.8 rating from the blue. The Emerald is not only playable and challenging; it is a living art form. Grasses are mixed to create color variations that give depth and dimension to the course. Bunkers and hazards have been sculpted to mix variety with the element of surprise. The interplay of light from a stand of pines, shadowed from behind by a taller stand of mature hardwoods, creates an unforgettable tapestry on the approach to the 4th green.

Each hole has five tee locations, allowing you to personalize the course to your individual ability. The 4th tee features four locations that hit across water and one highland route. The approach to the green is an experience in tapestry as a taller layer of hardwood shadows from behind a front layer of pines. The Emerald becomes an entirely different course depending on which tee you select. The words "routine" and "repetition" have been eliminated from our vocabulary. The Emerald loves to whisper in the ears of its players. The result - a challenge, a fair one, and a good time for all varieties of players.

River Bend Country Club

The Par 71 layout boasts many beautiful holes outlined by North Carolina pine trees and recently rebuilt bunkers. The course can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels, as the yardage ranges from 5,012 on the red tees to 6,404 on the championship tees. Our signature hole, number 8, features a 150-foot oak tree in the center, with a split fairway. You will feel right at home at River Bend, where everyone is treated like a member. While here, enjoy a hot or cold sandwich in the snack shop or use the area’s largest driving range, featuring three target greens, grass and mats for tees, and a hitting distance up to 250 yards.

Cherry Point Golf Course

A truly distinctive golf experience awaits you when you tee it up aboard the Marine Corps' elite jet base, MCAS Cherry Point, and it's "Sound of Freedom Golf Course". Recently open to the public, this course boasts undulation & character that is unique to this area and, since it's located aboard a military installation, the course is completely natural without houses or condos located on the course. If you're lucky, you'll also enjoy the namesake "sound of freedom" with our Marine Corps finest aviators flying over the course. Recently renovated and located directly on the picturesque Neuse River, the course has great water views plus a 24 hour driving range, chipping area, practice putting green, club rentals, snack bar and a certified PGA teaching pro on staff.

Carolina Pines Golf & Country Club

Meandering along the Neuse River and tucked throughout a rolling, wooded community, the 72-par Carolina Pines Golf & Country Club has been challenging golfers for over twenty-five years. Take your pick between four tees, from 4,766 to 6,270 yards. Enjoy the views of seven waterfront holes, including our signature hole, number 15, located on a cliff overlooking the Neuse River.

Whether public or a member, Carolina Pines offers the area’s best. Enjoy access to the clubhouse and lounge, patio, driving range, putting greens, and a fully equipped pro shop.

Cypress Landing Golf Club

Cypress Landing Golf Course is located in Eastern NC among lovely homes, tall pines and rolling hills. Its signature hole overlooks beautiful Chocowinty Bay. This par 72 semi-private course, designed by Bill Love with Ault Clark & Associates has maintained a Four Star rating from Golf Digest for several years running. The course combines a friendly atmosphere for the newer player with a solid challenge for the more experienced.

Brandywine Bay

Brandywine Bay invites you to discover 18 holes of the finest golfing experience on the NC Coast! This course, designed by Bruce Devlin, boasts over 6,600 yards of rolling fairways and bent grass greens, the challenge of 40 acres of water, fast putting greens and the well known, 555 yard, par 5 hole number 10. Brandywine Bay is now the official home of the Purple Hearts Classic. This is truly a golfer’s paradise.
